Setting Your Expectations: Part I
Sometimes I feel a little gullible for thinking there is money to be made online by people such as myself. There are too many snake oil salesmen out there telling too many fantastical tales about how to be rich.
That doesn’t mean you can’t make some money, and it doesn’t mean that it has to be a lot work to do so.
I think the trick to getting there is keeping your expectations in line with reality and then going from there. If you spend a lot of time on a blog, and give something of worth, you can probably get some income off of it. Maybe not enough to quit your job just yet, but it’s a start.
So the first step is developing expectations. Once you know what to expect every step of the way, you can be a lot more realistic about whether or not you have succeeded. That feedback is really important to keeping you going.
Given the importance of exepctations in this game, I’m going to write a series of articles on the topic over the next several posts.
